Nicely located, on a little square, with a superb view on a 100 year old Byzantine church, quite unique in an otherwise overly developed seaside city. Genuinely friendly staff, 200 m from the beach. Unbeatable quality for the price I paid.
Towels were not changed every day, some ANTS in the room ;) and it was in quite noisy localisation - if somebody needs calmness in the night, it could be trouble for him
The place was clean rooms were good. I had no problems with the internet, speed was very good. The owner greeted me and showed me around the room. The room was small and faced a wall but this was no problem for me as I was only staying 1 night. Location was spot on 5 minutes to the beach/fort. Plenty of food options on the beach. Short taxi ride to airport. Complementary water provided. Nice touch. no issues with noise.
Not a true hotel, should be renamed Alkisti Lodge/Pension to truly reflect the type of accommodation, as no staff are available onsite outside of office hours - you need to call a number for assistance. Wasn't a problem for me but could catch other people out if they were expecting a proper hotel.
The Alkisti was fantastic. Very good value, clean and perfectly located, I could not recommend this highly enough. Marinos and his staff are fantastic and work very hard to help. I was stuck in Cyprus as a result of the volcanic ash-cloud and the staff were very helpful at all times, even ringing the airline for me to check developments. Fantastic!!
The hotel was reallly nice, cozy and the staff was super! Very well located , nice area , close to everything, beach, resaturants, shopping area! The looks of the hotel were quite nice and comfortable and we had the luck to have a room showing to the lazarius church, very nice, when you grab a bottl eof wine and sit in the terrace contemplating it!
There is only one thing I did not like, the bed was a bit uncomfortable for me personally, the frige makes a bit of noise, which is a bit annoying but you get used to it.
Close to Foinikoudes beach
Aircondition very old, noisy and the most important smells very bad, impossible to sleep.Unpolite staff.
The location of the hotel was excellent and the stuff was very friendly and helpfull for any problem.
The hotel is cheap, comfortable, clean, nicely decorated. No frills but there was everything I needed and I expected. After reading other reviews on this website I was prepared for the fact that the reception would only be open during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00-13.00 and 16.00-19.00, or something like that), and I didn't need to check in or out at difficult times, so it was fine (but you do have a telephone number that you can call if you need anything when the reception is closed). As for the breakfast, it's true there's no breakfast served *at* the hotel, but if you walk (literally) ten paces across the square, outside the hotel, there are two or three bars where you can have anything you want (one serves English breakfast every day, from 8 to 12, for 5 euros). Plus, there are a kettle and a fridge in the room, china cups, tea and instant coffee are provided, and there are several mini-markets in the area, so if you really want to have some breakfast in you room you can quite easily organise that yourself. Also - my room was facing the street, and the Black Turtle tavern. After reading the reviews, I was really worried about the noise, but I was quite pleased to discover that: the music is only on on Friday and Saturday night; it is not pounding dance music, the kind that makes the walls shake, it's more traditional, that is, there is actually a tune and walls and windows don't shake; the law in Cyprus is that music in residential areas has to stop at 1 am, so it's not like it goes on all night. I agree with the reviews saying that it's a bit more like a guesthouse than a proper hotel (no room service, nobody takes your cases upstairs, reception open only limited hours), but if all you need is a clean, comfortable room, in a central and pleasant location and good value for money, this is the place for you. I also recommend the restaurant opposite the hotel, Taratsa. Good food and nice staff, just across the street from the hotel.
Very approachable and friendly staff , lovely and clean . convenient , and affordable .
Nicely restored building. Human size business Location in the city center Small size Welcome
A top quality hotel near to the center of most tourist activity in Larnaca. Service was excellent despite a serious accident that occurred to the power station serving electrical power to southern Cyprus during the time of our stay. There was some street noise but nothing major even though our room was closest to the street.
Internet service was unreliable until I mentioned the problem. Then an ethernet cable was provided which solved my previous difficulties.
Location and very rustic charm
The hotel is centrally located, quite close to the seaside and within easy reach to the intercity route buses. There are traditional shops around and a big variety of restaurants.
excellent location to visit the church and easy to reach the beach.
Room area so small.
Very good position, nice, clean and good value for money.
